BACKGROUND
capturing the history and style of damon howatt
DAMON HOWATT is a well known traditional archery brand that has been around over 85 years. They recently relaunched their brand and are working on creating an apparel lineup with stickers and logos. With their outdoor style, and traditional heritage, I wanted to capture their brand in more of an artistic painting that featured an archer and the outdoors.
REFINEMENT
sketching and exploration
I got to work on sketching out ideas, focusing on the outdoor painting of an archer in his natural habitat. I also liked the idea of monochromatic colors to help the art not get over crowded in details. Along with sketching ideas, I took this opportunity to explore AI and rapid ideation using prompts like “create a sticker for Damon Howatt bow company in the style of outdoor line art that gives a sense of archery and outdoors men, on paper, monochromatic”. Although this did influence the outcome style, it did not influence the art but helped create a mass library of options to pick and choose details from.

off to production
Now freshly exported, they have been sent off to the client for final approval and soon to be released in the relaunch of Damon Howatt. Including these stickers, various patch designs and arrangements were made for the apparel. It was a real honor to get to work with Damon Howatt on these stickers and logo arrangements.
